Life at work has been busy. With all the prep work for our office move coming up, there’s lots happening at work. Also, with me doing both my old and new duties at the same time, my day is a lot busier. It’s supposed to get easier.

My part time teaching job is still in progress. Had a break from mid June to mid July. Last week, I started two new classes, both levels new to me, but they are small size and quite fun, too. So right now, in total, I teach 9 hours a week, with students ranging from high beginner to advance.

I’ve kept myself entertained after hours also by going to the movies, going to concerts, and hanging out with friends in general. One fun afternoon out of the ordinary was when Kitty, my friend who is a bride-to-be, invited me over to tag along as she and her husband-to-be got their wedding photos done.

I’m now comtemplating if I can take on the task of doing her hairdos for the wedding day.

We found out that the XinMi (新秘), “bridal secretary” if translated literally, can charge NT$8000~12000 for services like make-up and hairdos for the wedding day. She already has a friend assigned to do the make-up portion, so it would seem costly to get a XinMi just for hairdos.

Millie’s wound has healed up quite nicely. So far, just waiting for the fur to grow on that patch. It’s looking better already, as the outside circle surrounding the wound is growing out already.
