Landline Out of Order

My landline is out of order again! I just received a telephone set (comes with a base set and a wireless one) for my birthday from my parents. I think they decided my other phone was too often out of order. Plus, if I were upstairs, I refused to come down to pick up the phone. However, after hooking up the new set, base downstairs and wireless upstairs, I was excited to try out my new phone, but only to find out the line was down! So now I have two new phones, but the line itself is down! I still can’t use my new phone.

Happy Chinese New Year, Everyone!

最近忙瘋了
在工作上連趕了好幾個project
我該謝謝上級主管的器重嗎?
讓我有這麼多project要做

快過年了洽公的人潮也特別多
加上我們最近在上課
有些下午變成沒法做平時下午做的事

今天也將是忙碌的一天
晚上新的課要開課
下班後要趕著去上課
明天除夕一早要出發去南投
嗚~ 人家要morning call 啦~

米粒要早起喔~
不可以賴床!
然後上車要乖乖睡喔!

Afternoon with Kerry

I took the afternoon off to spend time with Kerry. We spent the afternoon together chatting away. Oh, it’s always good to be able to spend quality time with friends. Even though plans were kind of last minute, I’m glad it all worked out!

I was excited also to open up the luggage she brought along for me. It was a BIG care package. Inside, there were things from Kerry, Gloria and my family. Thanks, everyone for all the goodies. Thank you, Kerry, for bringing everything for me!

First, because it’s my baby sis’ birthday.
Second, it’s also my cousin, YJ’s birthday.
Third, it’s cousin Joe’s wedding day today.
And, when I came home today, my neighbor told me, their dachshund had three puppies in the wee hours of this morning!
What a joyful day it is!!

昨天下午休了半天假
是利用耶誕跨年留守換來的
剛好昨天貓咪生日
回家接了米粒
我們就去找Jenny
後來某人下了班也趕過來
傍晚我們一起去看電影
看錦衣衛邊等Jenny下了班
又大伙約了去鼎王吃麻辣鍋
我當夜貓了
玩到很晚才回家
呵呵而且全程米粒都有跟班喔
也去看了她生平的第一場電影
她表現良好原本擔心她會被聲音嚇到
不過她很乖~

I went and got my round trip tickets to Nantou this evening. One major thing on my list done! All set to travel on Saturday morning, New Year’s Eve. Estimated arrival, sometime past noon if no traffic jam.

Planning for Chinese New Year

Other than the first year here in Taipei, when I travelled back to Canada, I’ve never travelled during the Chinese New Year holidays. That’s because it’s the most expensive and most crowded time of the year to travel around Taiwan. Airline tickets are high, too, as it is peak season for the airline industry.

This year, I’ve been invited to join my “adopted” family in Nantou, so I’m trying to finalize my travel plans. I would love to take time off and go earlier ahead of the crowd, but so far it seems that I will be right in the middle of it. Just like in western culture, everyone’s trying to make it home for Thanksgiving or Christmas, I’m trying to travel and be there before dinner of New Year’s Eve for dinner.

Unfortunately, I have a class scheduled the night before, making it impossible to travel earlier. My goal now is to travel first thing on the morning of New Year’s Eve. Meaning, I’ll probably be up very early that day.

I’ve yet to think about my luggage, but I aim to travel as light as possible. Maybe I’ll start off with making a list.

帶米粒逛公園

上個週末下午
我帶米粒去大安森林公園晃一晃
原本想說去看花卉展
不過好像已經結束了
沒看到什麼
加上那天下著毛毛雨
公園感覺冷冰冰的

今天跟朋友臨時約
我們去了青年公園
散步聊天
米粒很開心
我也難得很放鬆
悠哉的逛起公園了
後來我們乾脆找bench坐下來
看著小朋友們在公園裡的溜冰課程
好多好多的小時後的回憶忽然在湧現

下回我想帶米粒去植物園
距離雖不遠但我一直還沒機會去

今天帶米粒去打預防針 8合1的
醫生很nice也幫米粒做健康檢查
米粒今天的體重: 3.6kg
米粒今天的體溫: 38.2 C
皮膚,腳腳,耳朵等之前有過的問題一切很好
便便檢查也沒有任何寄生蟲
Conclusion: Millie is a healthy puppy!
今天大完針醫生也給了一個小手冊
米粒的健康passport~

甜甜的笑容~這就是幸福

Exam Season

It’s been a while since I finished school, but yes I do have an exam season. My French lessons are coming to an end, and both classes have an exam before I am considered finish and can continue my lessons.

I’m becoming more and more nervous about it, but my teacher is so sweet and even offered to give me a review lesson to help me prepare. So touched!
